I thought I would just use this to introduce myself. After many years working with the public I decided to follow my passion for helping others and retrain as a counsellor. My qualification allows me to work with all ages but I consider my area of interest to be working with children and young people as a lot of my training was with children in the fields of addiction services and with those that provide a caring role for a family member. Since graduating I have worked with adults covering many areas from bereavement to anxiety and beyond. I have opened up a private practice with both generic counselling spaces and a playroom for working with younger children where I offer a tailored service for each individual clients using play, creative interventions and other tools, techniques and modalities that I have learned from my Diploma training and further training since graduating. I have a keen interest in how early experiences shape us as humans and believe that listening is a very powerful way to help heal some of the trauma that we can be left with. I currently work from a space in Livingston Village so please get in touch if I can help in any way or if you have any questions. No issue is too small and whilst the journey can be difficult, it can also be very rewarding.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
